I am learning to use materials of different textures, sizes and shapes.

• Literacy and Language:

I am listening to language around me and beginning to recognize colors by name.

• Social Learning:

I play side by side with my peers but not yet with them.

• Reasoning and Problem Solving:

I am discovering differences in the functions and properties of objects.

Play & Learn Together: 

• Encourage safe exploration with appropriate art materials. 

• Provide hand-over-hand support as your child experiments with different types of drawing tools.

• Model how to draw, paint, glue, fold, cut, tear, etc.
