Lace up your running shoes and join us for Run the Runway at Shenandoah Valley Airport in Weyers Cave, an unforgettable opportunity to run or walk on an active airport taxiway and runway!
The fun begins with the 1K Fun Run for children ages 3–12 at 2:00 PM, followed by the chip-timed 5K at 2:30 PM. Whether you're chasing a personal best, pushing a stroller, or simply looking for a unique family outing, this event is for you. The course is handicap accessible and welcomes participants of every fitness level.
Every step you take helps support Explore More Discovery Museum and its aviation exhibit, where children explore the exciting world of flight through hands-on experiences as pilots, air traffic controllers, and passengers.
Gather your friends, bring the family, and don't miss this one-of-a-kind race experience. Opportunities to run on an airport runway don't come around every day!

Magnum Opus Coaching is offering a FREE 8-week training program beginning on July 20 for runners of all levels. From novice to experienced racer, Nelle Fox and her team are ready to help you reach your goals. Most workouts will be done independently with optional in-person sessions on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Please indicate your interest on the registration page!

✈️ 11:30 am - 1:30 pm: Packet pick up for all race participants.
✈️ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Enjoy hands-on activities and explore unique aircraft on display before and after the races.
✈️ 2:00 p.m: 1K Kids Fun Run begins
✈️ 2:30 p.m: 5K Run (open to all ages)
