The second year of the annual Artist Apprenticeship Program for aspiring young artists, ages 8-12, was a great success. In this unique program, small groups of students work closely with local professional artists who will serve as their mentors over a series of 4 weeks.

Students received in-depth instruction from their mentor artist, while both mentor and mentee spend time creating works to display. It was our goal that youth participants experience the entire process, from concept to critiquing, refining, and showcasing their work. This program will culminate with a gallery showing and reception on April 5 from 5 - 7 PM during the downtown First Friday event. Invited guests and community members will have the opportunity to see works from both students and their artist mentors.

This opportunity is made possible thanks to the generosity of our lead sponsor, Riner Rentals and our supporting sponsors, Kathy Moran Wealth Group | Raymond James, Brown Edwards, and Living Room Collective.
