PART-TIME Accounting specialist
Explore More seeks part-time team member responsible for performing a variety of bookkeeping and accounting oversight duties including processing payroll twice monthly, financial record keeping and transactions including accounts payable, cash receipts, inventory management and general ledger maintenance. Desired individual will have an accounting background, experience with QuickBooks, experience working in the nonprofit setting (restriction tracking), demonstrated professionalism, strong organizational and time management skills, acute attention to detail and ability to work well with other Museum staff.
Hours: 7-10 hours per week; flexible office hours
Part-time Guest Services Staff
The Explore More Discovery Museum seeks energetic, creative, team-oriented individual to serve as part-time guest services staff responsible for supervising daily museum operations, assisting with special programs and working with community volunteers. Applicants must be available to work most weekends.
Approximately 10 - 15 hours offered within the following times:
Tuesday - Saturdays 9:00 – 5:30, First Fridays of the month 4:00 – 7:30 PM, Sundays afternoons and evenings for special events as needed.The museum will coordinate shifts to accommodate student class schedules.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The Explore More Discovery Museum has a Development Internship each semester. Interns have a passion for non-profit organizations, education, children, community development, and business & administration. Students will gain hands-on experience with a small non-profit, build a strong resume, and engage with local businesses and community members. Interns become active team members with our small staff and make a meaningful impact on the children and community.
Graphic Design Intern

The Graphic Design Intern will assist the museum staff in updating, designing and producing print materials, signage and web graphics while maintaining brand consistency. The intern will participate as an active member of the museum Marketing Committee. This unique public setting offers unlimited creative possibilities for the student or young professional seeking to build a stellar design portfolio.

The Program Intern will assist Museum Education staff with programming designed to engage children and family audiences. Students will gain practical experience teaching in the museum setting while also learning operating procedures and best practices required to run a successful children’s museum.
