REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

Classes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Complete the registration form and waiver online. Payment must be received by Explore More to secure a space in the class. In the event that minimum enrollments are not met, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule classes. If this occurs, your entire fee will be refunded. There are no refunds for classes dropped less than 10 business days before class begins. A 50% refund will be issued if the museum is notified in writing at least 10 business days before class starts.

Snack:

Children should bring a peanut free snack and a water bottle to class each day. There will be a short break each day during which children will eat their snack.

Staying for Lunch:

Children in rising grades 1 - 8 who have registered for both a morning and an afternoon session in the same week are welcome to stay for a supervised lunch time. Children will spend part of this time engaging in outside play in one of our Downtown green space locations if weather permits. Children must provide their own lunch.

Age Requirements:

Students enrolling in preschool classes must be 3 years old by December 31, 2023 and RELIABLY toilet-trained.

Photo Waiver:

Explore More Discovery Museum reserves the right to use photos taken during classes and workshops for use in marketing. If you do not wish to have your child’s photo used for the museum’s purposes, please submit a request in writing with your registration form.

Field Trips:

Occasionally camps will take off-site walking field trips to spaces in the Downtown Harrisonburg area (within no farther than a one mile radius of Explore More). If you do not wish to have your child participate in these off-site trips, please submit a request in writing and they will stay on-site with a staff member.

Pick Up/Drop Off:

As we get closer to camp time, a staff member will notify you of your child’s designated drop off/pick up location. Please check in with your child at the drop off location no more than 10 minutes before the class begins. If someone other than the child’s parent or guardian is picking the child up from class, please notify the museum.
